Three things that make me think Mormonism may be true:
1. The hostility it attracts. Few Christian traditions seem to provoke as much contempt from hypocrites and people openly hostile to Christian morality, with traditional Catholicism being the obvious parallel. Hatred does not prove truth, but what people hate, and why they hate it, can be revealing.
2. Its recognition of the divine in family. When family is lived rightly, through fidelity, sacrifice, and self-giving love, we glimpse God. Mormonism takes that reality seriously. It treats family not merely as a useful social arrangement, but as something sacred, with eternal significance. And its people genuinely attempt to live accordingly.
3. The metaphysics of the Restoration. Not the constant bland platitudes repackaged for mainstream approval, but the deeper, more audacious claims by Joseph Smith about existence, eternity, and humanity’s relationship to God.
Read alongside simulation theory, those ideas strike me as remarkably plausible, not merely as religious symbolism, but as a description of how reality might actually work.

From a "Bible-believing Christian"
1. Christians dont hate Mo's. We plead with them to get out of the burning building. What you accuse Christians of doing is exactly what Joseph Smith did - "You're wrong!" Dont overlook that. We are commanded to expose false prophets:
"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." - Romans 16:17-18
2. The family. You almost nailed it. Husband and Wife is a shadow of eternity with Christ - but the LDS do err Jesus: "Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." - Matthew 22:29-30
The LDS replace Christ with their earthly spouse for eternal "bliss". They create an idol out of something that is holy. Nahushtan - the serpent on a pole once healed Israel became an idol and was ordered destroyed. Their spouse replaces Christ. We are married to Christ in eternity, not our spouse in earth.
3. I cant go back and read 3 on mobile without saving this text, but I think it was about historical/miraculous things... cant remember - but there archeological and historical side of the BoM is found wanting to say the least. I may revist 3 after sending this and can read it again.
